I live about an hour from Saratoga Springs, NY. The area rose to fame as the home to 21 natural mineral springs. A stately historic town grew around the springs to support a demand for health tourism in the 1800s.

This book project is still evolving. I'll be clear, I'm not interested in the fancy society stuff. However, I am really into understanding the world in which families might take a ridiculously long stagecoach ride and boat trip for the express purpose of drinking water that tastes like spicy metallic eggs.
