Hello, I’m Laura. I’m a writer and artist living in Upstate NY. I’m originally from Seattle, WA, and I studied art at the University of Washington and Cornell University. When not riding a bicycle poorly (and in jeans, of course), I’m usually hectoring my family about dishcloth etiquette or working in my studio!

I write and illustrate books for young (and fun) people, as it is a good excuse to spend time with crisp high-quality French paper. I particularly enjoy painting earnest characters and irregular spaces. Even though people gently suggest I do other activities, I continue generating eraser dust and little glass cups of beige water… like it’s my job or something?
