When you have kids, there's a period of time when the alphabet is in heavy rotation at your house.  This alphabet book began when I couldn't read one more page about xylophones.  I gradually added a plot involving two valiant characters working odd jobs for a far-reaching agency called the Alliterative Association, but I won't go into that here.
